Evan {Mini Session}

Hello Friends!

Welcome to my second mini session post!  If you are unaware of what a "mini session" is, you are in luck, because I am about to tell you.  To put it simply, a "Mini Session" is a photo shoot in a fraction of the time a usual shoot would take.  Nothing else lacks - photos are not uglier or less creative - and you still receive every beautiful shot that was taken.  If anything, I do tend to shoot more and cram in more fun props because of the fact that the subject has less time to warm up to the camera.  PLUS you get out of the Texas heat faster!  ;)

For my second slot in my first mini sessions, my subject was Evan!  I have known his family since way before he was even close to existing, so to say the least, it was a personal honor.  Evan is incredibly scrumptious and very shy.  Many of the first photos that were taken were of a tear-soaked, red-eyed crying baby.  Now I am certain most photographers would not share this detail in a blog post, but I want to!  To help encourage moms and dads when thinking about doing a photo shoot, that even if the kids are not 100% perfect or maybe they are a little too restless, that it does not mean a perfect photo is hopeless.  The job that I have put on myself is to capture life has it happens.  I want Sally (yes, I am using a cheesy name as an example) and her sister to suddenly crack each other up or to be silly and run in circles because that's what they love doing at home and I want to capture that happy memory.

Yes, I did blog a little more than I typically do for these sessions, but I could not resist.  These photos were so much fun and they are kind of a turning point in my "career" (sounds pretty epic, I know).  So without further ado, Evan!!!!!

Thanks to mom for bringing some awesome props!!

And he has finally decided that this is fun and not life-threatening. Ha-ha

My heart kind of melts when I look at this photo!

Then he became Mr. model

Hannah & Taira {Mini Session}

Hello Blog Readers!

Alrighty!  So, a few weeks back, I had a desperate need to take photos.  And that's what brought about the idea to put together my very first "Mini Sessions".  Mini Sessions are photo shoots in just a shorter amount of time.  Typically, because they are shorter, photographers like to do a few of them back to back.  My plan was to meet at a nearby park and shoot four of these.  Surprisingly enough, all four of my slots were filled in, so I had a promising day ahead of me - that is if it were not for the weather.  In the end, I had to cancel two of them.  But the ones that I was still able to do did just the trick to cure my photo craving.

The first session was with Hannah and Taira - two, very sweet and super photogenic best friends.  These where a blast to shoot!  They were also good sports when I made them walk into tall grass, lay on the ground, and write on their feet with a Sharpie.  "You did what?"  Just wait and see, and it will all make sense.

The second mini will be up soon!!  Get excited!

These gals know how to go from their laughing smiles to their model poses like a flip of a switch!

"WE ARE BFF's!"

"But seriously, we are models"

It's really hard to pick, but if I had to, I would say these two are my favorites from the session!

Make sense now? ;)

Danielle {Senior}

BLOG PEOPLE!  I'm back!

Today I have a very special shoot for you all.  Almost two months back, maybe, I had the great, super-fun, and amazing privilege to capture my bestie's senior photos!  That said, you know how much giggling went down.  I took way too many photos and I mean it!  I couldn't help myself.  The weather was perfect and my model was absolutely stunning in every way possible.  So, it's not my fault!

It was extremely difficult picking my favorite shots for this post but here ya go!
Hope you Likey!

Happy Memorial Day!
